Day 1
Full Day Tarangire National Park Safari & Transfer to Arusha
Distance Approximately: 270 km; driving time approx. 4-5 hours
Meals Included: Lunch & Dinner Only
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival, your dedicated safari guide will meet you at the airport to kickstart your safari adventure.
After a 2-3 hour drive from the airport, you will start your adventure at Tarangire National Park, famous for its magnificent herds of elephants, huge baobab trees and giant tree-climbing pythons. Animals crowd here around the river as it is the only permanent source of water in the area. On your game drive here you are likely to see many elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, dik-diks closely followed by the animals that prey on them such as lions and leopards. Cheetahs also wander into the park but on very rare occasions.
After this thrilling and unique game drive, you will depart on a 1.5 - 2 hour drive to your lodge in Karatu for a dinner and a well deserved rest.
Day 2
Transfer to Serengeti & Half Day Serengeti National Park Safari
Distance Approximately: 190km; driving time approx. 3-5 hours

After an early breakfast you’ll embark on a 2 hour drive to the world renowned Serengeti National Park, famous for its yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water.
Upon entering the Serengeti, your adventure continues with a half-day game drive through its vast plains, home to a remarkable array of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards. giraffes, zebras, and the iconic wildebeests as well as diverse landscapes, from expansive grassy plains to rugged rocky terrains. The Seronera Valley, where you'll end your day, is renowned as the heart of the park. Here, you can expect stunning views of the Serengeti plains.
Days 3 - 4
Full Day Serengeti National Park Safari
Distance Approximately: game drives, no transfers.

The entire next two days is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s largest park. The Seronera Valley is a year-round wildlife haven, offering great opportunities to encounter a wide variety of animals, including the renowned Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceros), cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, and a rich array of bird species. The other areas that you visit will vary based on the time of the year and where the migrating herds are. In the evenings savor the mesmerising sights of the African sunsets painting vibrant colors across the vast Serengeti sky, creating a truly enchanting and unforgettable memories.
Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari: Choose to take a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti plains at sunrise (additional cost). This offers a bird's eye view of the breathtaking Serengeti plains and a unique perspective of the wildlife below.
Day 5
Half Day Serengeti Safari & Transfer to Ngorongoro

Travelling from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater offers a picturesque journey through Tanzania's landscapes. Along the way, you will visit a Maasai village to immerse yourself in their captivating culture. Their vibrant traditions, include distinctive clothing, lively dances, and the chance to learn about their daily way of life. This visit offers a unique opportunity to connect with and gain a deeper understanding of the rich and enduring Maasai culture.
Upon arriving at your accommodation, take the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. Unwind after days of thrilling wildlife adventures. It's a delightful transition before embarking on your exploration of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 6
Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Distance Approximately: game drives, no transfers.

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, formed by a colossal volcanic explosion and collapse around 2 - 3 million years ago. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest unbroken volcanic crater and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This spectacular location has one of the highest lion population per square kilometer in the world and provides a unique opportunity to witness a variety of animals in their natural habitat. On your game drive throughout the day keep a look out for over 300 different species of wildlife including the famous Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – which can all be found here. The Ngorongoro Crater is truly a must-see on any itinerary.
Day 7
Transfer to Lake Manyara - Half Day Lake Manyara Safari - Transfer to Arusha
Distance Approximately: 170km; driving time approx. 3-4 hours
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch Only
Lake Manyara is a small but special park in Tanzania's Northern Circuit, covering just 325 km². It's known for its 600-meter high Rift Valley, which offers stunning views. Despite its small size, the park boasts a diverse mix of landscapes, including marshes, savannahs, and acacia trees, along with a refreshing soda lake where animals gather to cool off during the dry season. It is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, these predators occasionally ascend the branches of acacia and mahogany trees, a behavior rarely witnessed elsewhere.
Given its smaller size, Lake Manyara presents an ideal opportunity for a relaxed game drive, providing the perfect conclusion to your thrilling safari adventure before departing for your next destination. You will then depart for Arusha, arriving in the late evening. The next morning after breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your onwards travel.
